Split Levels are unusual configurations in Chicago Lakefront neighborhoods. These structures present unusual challenges in order to stretch and find new space for a growing family. The unfinished basement became an obvious prime candidate for new living space. The living room, dining room, and kitchen were combined into an opened Great Room.
