Marts & Valentin Architects designed an artist's studio for a Chicago bungalow. A recently retired repeat client commissioned this new at-home work space. This addition replaces and doubles the size of a poorly built enclosed back porch.

Marts & Valentin Architects has designed this modified shoji screen, with two sliding doors, for the primary bedroom in a high-rise condominium renovation. Happily, the challenging part - finding a craftsperson to build the shoji, a refined piece of "furniture" - has been solved.
